Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA)

Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA), a registered charity, is leading the UK in exploring Chinese contemporary culture. Based in a purpose designed building by OMI Architects on Thomas Street in the heart of Manchester’s creative Northern Quarter, CFCCA aims to make Chinese contemporary art and visual culture accessible to everyone through a range of activities. CFCCA has a proud 30-year history of UK ‘first’ solo exhibitions, featuring exceptional emerging artists that go on to achieve international acclaim. CFCCA’s programme includes practical workshops, film screenings, informal talks and performances.

CFCCA is a partner on A Cinematic Musée Imaginaire of Spatial Cultural Differences (CineMuseSpace) and will work with the research team in 2018 to explore the findings of Phase 1 of the research in relation to their building and programming as a route to co-designing the CFCCA installation of the Cinematic Musée Imaginaire.
