CineMuseSpace: A Cinematic Musée Imaginaire of Spatial Cultural Differences

 

Biography

Rachel Burgess is the Project Administrator for CineMuseSpace with responsibility for planning, finances, and day-to-day project management.  Prior to this she was the administrator for a major interdisciplinary project on the Italian Renaissance, ‘Domestic Devotions’, based at the University of Cambridge and funded by the ERC.  She helped to plan and organise the exhibition ‘Madonnas and Miracles’, which took place at the Fitzwilliam Museum in spring 2017, acting as the key point of contact between the research team, museum staff and Italian lenders.  Rachel has a first-class degree in French and Italian from the University of Leicester.  After graduating, she worked for several years in finance in manufacturing companies, qualifying as management accountant. She now works one day per week on CineMuseSpace and also holds a job-share role in the Graduate Office at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages which includes facilitating postgraduate study at the Centre for Film and Screen Studies.
